As a business man or woman, doing business is not an easy fit, i mean the name says it all ” busy-ness” , you have got to be really busy, you ‘ve got to work round the clock.

Most times you are tired especially for the small business owners who have to do everything by themselves at the initial stage of their business.

Some days still, you wish you hadn’t even start the business at the first place, you wish you had played it safe and gotten a job instead.

Sometimes still, business is slow and you can barely stay above the overhead cost.

I want to tell you that these are all part of doing business, it has never been an easy path and it will never be. Business as the name entails is all about ups and down.

Business is all about serving people and we all know that serving people is not easy. So what do you do when your business seems slow ?

Here are 10 things to try out when the tide of your business is not moving smoothly.

1. CULTIVATE A NEW HABIT

We are creatures of habit so much so that our habits build our life.
Cultivating a new positive habit that will get you close to your dream might just be something to try out at this time.

It could be a habit that is related to your business, or just one of life habit to help you live a better life.

You could just decide to be working out everyday, or to cook and eat healthier after all health is wealth.

When you have a healthy body, you have a healthy mind as well and you are more likely to achieve your business goals with a healthy body.

2. WRITE A BUSINESS PLAN

Writing a business plan for your existing business or a new business plan may spark a whole new ideas all together.

Don’t underestimate the power of writing things down, as it brings more clarity to your ideas, what writing it down does is that it crystallizes it into a tangible form more likely to materialise.

Have some ideas? write it down first, then get back to it later, that idea came to you for a reason, don’t ignore it, write it down.

3. FIND NEW PROSPECTS

You will be surprised that new prospects and new perspectives will spring up as you begin to write your ideas down.

The mere act of writing it down is already an action towards your goals, and goals love actions.

You will be very lucky if you have already built into your system the habit of reading.

When you read regularly, post ideas flow naturally to you, all you need to do is just to recollect them and piece them together.

6. WRITE A BOOK

If you read well, then you can write well, start scribbling your thoughts together, you might just come up with a book that people will actually enjoy reading.

Use this time to send a ‘thank you’ email or note to your customers, especially those who started with you initially.

They are the ones that believed in you and your business even when you still had some doubts about your business.

This is the time to appeciate them and let them know you are grateful about their support to your enterprise.

10. REBRAND

You can as well use this period  to rebrand your business, now may just be the time to execute all these ideas you gained from books, travels, mentors and your personal researches.

A total rebranding will change the trajectory of your business and position you for a massive growth.

This is true to the fact that you have learned what it takes to run your business and now you are have decided to put all your effort into delivering value to your customers.

Business was never slow afterall, it was our mind that was slow, it was our mindset that needed some updates.

Just like the software, you need to update your mind regularly with novel ideas and experiences and this you can achieve through learning.
